With a drive for engineering excellence that can only come from over 30 years in automotive racing and our long-term relationship with the Penske Corporation, we’re setting higher standards for marine engine performance. Ilmor is currently the sole engine supplier for MasterCraft’s full line of tow sport crafts.
This position will be based in New Hudson, MI at our brand new Marine Engine Technical Center which is scheduled to open in April 2025.
EXTENSIVE TRAINING (approximately 5-8 weeks, Monday - Thursday) will be required in Mooresville, North Carolina. All training time is paid, and all travel expenses will be covered by Ilmor Marine.
Job Summary
Our Fulfillment Team Lead position is a high-energy, on-your-feet role. In this position, you will be be responsible for leading a team of 2-4 front-line associates who pick, pack, validate packing lists and ship products to our customers. You will be responsible for developing scalable processes for our growing eCommerce business segment. This position will support our growing B2C e-commerce platform, existing B2B customers, and important vendor relationships.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Mentor, train and support new shipping & receiving associates
- Interact regularly with our field service and support team to ensure the right parts get to the right customer, on time.
- Troubleshoot complicated logistics and shipping issues.
- Consistently review and recommend process improvements to verify contents and compare with records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders, to verify accuracy of incoming or outgoing shipment.
- Ensure shipment accuracy for all outgoing orders to maintain Ilmor’s high level of expectations for Customer Satisfaction and Customer Service to parts ordering
- Prepare documents, such as work orders, bills of lading, and shipping orders to route materials.
- Make value judgements and determine the most effective shipping method for engines and parts, using knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates.
- Record shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability, and damages and discrepancies, for reporting, accounting, and record keeping purposes.
- Contact carrier representative to make arrangements and to issue instructions for shipping and delivery of engines and parts.
- Confer and correspond with establishment representatives to rectify problems, such as damages, shortages, and non-conformance to specifications.
- Requisition and store shipping materials and supplies to maintain inventory of stock.
- Deliver or route materials to departments, using work devices, such as forklift, hand truck, conveyor, hoists or sorting bins.
- Compute amounts, such as space available, and shipping, storage, and demurrage charges, using calculator or price list.
- Other duties as assigned
Required Skills
- 2 years of experience in Shipping & Receiving or related logistics responsibilities
- 1 years as a leader or supervisor in a shipping & receiving function
- Intermediate-to-Advanced expertise in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- High School Diploma or GED
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Effective communicator and collaborator
- Able to work hard and maintain quality standards with tight deadlines
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in a manufacturing setting

- Interest in eCommerce logistics
- Experience with ERP or inventory management software
- Intermediate-to-Advanced expertise in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Nuts & Bolts
- This position is full-time, day shift, M-F
- The training schedule will be Monday (flight to NC) through Thursday (evening flight home to DTW), with some Fridays in the New Hudson plant as it prepares to open.
