PLANT MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN
Summary:
This position is responsible for general facility and operational maintenance at Ilmor Marine, LLC. - a new marine engine assembly plant scheduled to open in Spring 2025
Essential Job Functions (Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities):
- Enforce safety, environmental, and sanitation regulations.
- Plan, organize, direct, and perform activities concerned with the maintenance of facility equipment, structures and systems including the paint system, paint robot, engine hot test systems and any other equipment integral to engine assembly.
- Work with managers and vendors/contractors to discuss and resolve any equipment maintenance problems.
- Inspect and review projects to monitor compliance with building and safety codes, and other regulations.
- Inspect materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions.
- Interpret and explain plans and contract terms to administrative staff, workers, and coordinate and monitor involvement of outside contractors and subcontractors for any facility repair and construction.
- Assist in obtaining all necessary permits and licenses.
- Oversee all maintenance of equipment operated within the facility, including air compressors, pumps, electrical systems, mechanical systems, plumbing and paint system.
- Maintain and continue to develop manufacturing operations standards.
- Submit contractor bids and material requisitions to purchasing for implementation
- Oversee vendor stocking, uniforms, safety, and first aid supplies.
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, Skills, Certification, Training, Licensed):
- High School Diploma
- 5 Years Facility/Multi-Machine Maintenance
- 2 years Forklift Driving experience
- Electrical System Safety Certification (desired)
- Robotic and PLC knowledge (desired)
- Safety Certified, e.g. OSHA (desired)
- Scissor Lift certified (desired)
Physical Requirements/Work Environment:
- The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 30 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit or stand. The employee is frequently required to use their hands and fingers to handle, feel objects, use tools or controls, and climb or balance. The employee is occasionally required to walk, reach with hands and arms, kneel crouch, crawl and talk or hear.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes, or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electric shock and explosives.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. However, some instances of this job may require work in areas where ear protection is necessary.
