Our client is looking for a Quality Engineer. They are a foundry operation making parts for aerospace, defense and other industries. The company is located between Madison and Milwaukee. - Review purchase order, drawings, and specification requirements and specifications focused on negotiation of customer requirements, forward-thinking product quality planning and translation of requirements to operations. Maintain compliance of products to these requirements.
- Maintenance and improvement of Quality Management System and related software systems.
- Work with Operations, Engineering, and Sales departments to support customer needs and product throughput. Interact directly with customers and suppliers.
- Develop, maintain and implement quality procedures and work instructions in compliance to customer and specification requirements.
- Conduct audits to assure compliance to quality system, processes and schedules.
- Ensure customer verification and acceptance completed (FAI, PPAP or pre-production requirements)
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, quality management, statistics or related course of study with 3 years of manufacturing quality experience.
- Experience with ISO9000 / AS9100, or other high compliance standards (defense, aerospace or similar) is needed
- Experience with auditing, including internal and supplier audits, as well as complying with customer audits
- Any experience with investment casting, metal manufacturing & machining, heat treating, or non-destructive testing (NDT) is desired
- Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, PPAP, FMEA or root cause analysis is helpful
