Towerstone Junior Brokers actively operate within a team environment and support Broker(s) with their growing book of business. They are responsible for meeting business retention goals through the development and maintenance of strong client and carrier relationships. They continually seek ways to improve knowledge and expertise while completing duties in accordance with company standards. Junior Brokers treat clients, company personnel, and associates with respect and courtesy.

What You'll Do

  • Prepares initial market submissions and loss summaries
  • Independently interfaces with clients and carriers to solve problems and answer questions
  • Develops and maintains proactive communication with clients
  • Reviews and analyzes quotes, and negotiates the terms of the transaction
  • Prepares draft proposals, submissions and quotes
  • Monitors market changes and performs marketing activities as required by Broker
  • Responsible for renewal and retention business of select accounts
  • Establishes and maintains market and agent relationships and strategies
  • Maintains knowledge of insurance coverages, carriers and their business practices
  • Mentors and helps train Servicing Account Managers

You Should Have

  • Two to five years of similar or related experience
  • Undergraduate degree in risk management, insurance or finance or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Applicable state P&C and Surplus license
  • Strong sales and marketing skills
  • Solid sales acumen
  • Solid business acumen
  • Interest in continued education and professional development
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, both internally and externally
  • Ability to motivate or influence others with a significant level of diplomacy and trust
  • Some travel required
