Job Description
Busy metals mill in the Western Tennessee area needs a Process Improvement Engineer / Facilitator to identify improvements in a metals scrap operation. This is a large scale metals shredding, scrap processing operation. To qualify, you should have experience with capital equipment used in working on large scale metals recycling, using high speed, high volume shredding machinery.
- Design or develop new or alterations to existing structures, systems, and equipment.
- Provide timely and accurate cost estimates on proposed improvements.
- Support and participate in CAPEX projects.
- Participate and contribute to the achievement of department goals including goal setting
Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, business administration, or related field - or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Degree is preferred but not a must.
- Minimum 4-6 years of practical training pertaining to scrap processing, melting, casting, rolling, maintenance, finishing, and/or shipping/warehouse or other heavy manufacturing operations, with some supervisory experience.
- Good knowledge of steel or aluminum manufacturing methods and techniques involving the use of heavy mill machinery and related equipment.
