Position Summary

Image Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented Sourcing Specialist to drive domestic and overseas sourcing initiatives for apparel and promotional products. In this role, you will be responsible for sourcing, costing, and managing the sample process, ensuring that product assortments align with market trends and our customers’ brand needs. The ideal candidate will have experience working with wholesale vendors, negotiating favorable terms, and understanding manufacturing and production timelines. With a strong background in vendor management, supplier qualification, and cost analysis, you will play a critical role in maintaining a diverse, reliable, and cost-effective supplier base. Your efforts will support our company’s mission: to make our customers look and feel great at work by providing timely, on-trend, and high-quality product selections.

This is a hybrid position, working in our CA headquarters 3 days a week.

Responsibilities

1. Domestic Sourcing & Sales Support

• Identify and manage domestic vendors for apparel and promotional products to maintain a diverse, reliable, and cost-effective supplier base.
• Create and execute merchandise assortments based on sales trends and financial plans.
• Provide product recommendations and accurate costing to support Account Managers and Sales teams, ensuring speed to market.
• Collaborate with Sales and Marketing to recommend vendors, develop new products, and provide insights into product customization options.
• Select and present items aligned with customers’ brand aesthetics, needs, and budget; prepare presentation decks and product mock-ups.
• Execute Request for Proposal (RFP) sourcing and costing for potential and existing clients.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure customer websites are continuously updated with exciting new items

2. Vendor Management & Relationship Development

• Build and maintain strong relationships with domestic and overseas suppliers.
• Monitor vendor performance using scorecards, KPIs, and compliance tracking.
• Drive vendor segmentation, onboarding, and continuous performance improvement initiatives.
• Address and resolve supplier-related issues to ensure adherence to quality, cost, and service-level agreements.

3. Supplier Research & Qualification

• Identify and evaluate new supplier opportunities to expand product offerings and increase supply chain flexibility.
• Conduct supplier due diligence, market research, and cost-benefit analyses.
• Support vendor onboarding processes by ensuring compliance with company standards and requirements.

4. Cost Analysis & Negotiation Support

• Prepare cost models and benchmark pricing to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Collaborate with the Senior Procurement Manager during key negotiations to secure favorable terms and pricing.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
• 3 years buying or purchasing experience with a wholesale or distributor company
• Experience with buying apparel, accessories, advertising specialty items (ASI) or promotional goods
• Understanding of the apparel decoration processes preferred
• Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office – NetSuite experience, a plus
• Experienced with negotiating and costing products and an understanding of product margin
• Basic knowledge of terminology of production and shipping items
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
• Consistent demonstration of professionalism, sound judgment, and integrity
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational qualities a must
