We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Medical Billing Call Center Representative to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for handling inbound and outbound calls related to medical billing inquiries, providing accurate information to patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies, and assisting with resolving billing issues. You will ensure that all billing information is processed efficiently, and ensure compliance with medical insurance protocols and policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Answer inbound calls and make outbound calls to patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies regarding billing inquiries, claims, and payments.
- Assist patients in understanding their bills, insurance coverage, and payment options.
- Communicate with healthcare providers to obtain or verify billing information, medical codes, and other necessary details for accurate claims processing.
- Review and verify billing statements for accuracy and compliance with healthcare regulations and insurance policies.
- Assist in submitting claims to insurance companies and follow up on unpaid or denied claims.
- Identify errors or discrepancies in billing and resolve them promptly, working closely with the billing department or other relevant teams.
- Investigate billing issues or discrepancies raised by patients or healthcare providers.
- Provide clear explanations of medical billing codes, insurance coverage, and payment responsibilities to patients and healthcare providers.
- Follow up on outstanding issues and provide timely updates to all parties involved.
- Accurately input and update billing information into the system, including patient details, claim statuses, payment records, and other relevant data.
- Ensure confidentiality and security of patient information in accordance with HIPAA guidelines and company policies.
- Deliver exceptional customer service by being courteous, empathetic, and patient in all interactions.
- Handle high-volume calls in a professional manner, maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.

Monday - Friday 8:30 am - 5:00 pm
