We are seeking a hands-on technical leader to serve as Manager, Master Data Management (MDM). This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining a scalable MDM strategy, ensuring high data integrity, governance, security, and seamless integration across enterprise systems. The ideal candidate will execute cross-functional MDM efforts while actively engaging in technical execution and problem-solving. This role requires a combination of strategic vision, deep technical expertise, and strong leadership skills to drive best practices in enterprise data management.
Key Responsibilities:
Master Data Management Strategy & Governance
- Develop and implement a comprehensive MDM framework that aligns with business objectives and ensures long-term scalability.
- Establish data governance policies and procedures to maintain accuracy, consistency, security, and compliance across all data domains.
- Define and enforce data standardization guidelines to ensure uniformity across business units and systems.
- Align MDM strategy with enterprise data architecture, ensuring seamless cross-functional integration.
Data Quality, Validation & Security
- Establish and track data quality KPIs, continuously refining MDM processes to improve accuracy and reliability.
- Implement automated data validation rules and quality controls to proactively detect and correct inconsistencies.
- Perform data validation, cleansing, auditing, and standardization initiatives to enhance overall data quality.
- Enforce data security protocols, ensuring compliance with industry standards and privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, CCPA).
- Conduct regular data audits to monitor data integrity, completeness, and security risks.
Technical Implementation & System Integration
- Develop and optimize MDM tools and platforms (e.g., SQL, Oracle FDI, Looker) to support governance and data quality initiatives.
- Design and manage ETL processes, data pipelines, and integration workflows across business applications (SQL, Informatica, SSIS, Talend).
- Write and optimize SQL and Python scripts to analyze, clean, and transform master data.
- Troubleshoot data inconsistencies, integration challenges, and system synchronization issues.
- Work with varying information across several different business areas, such as customer data, product data, revenue data, expense data, etc.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Act as the primary technical point of contact for all MDM-related projects, collaborating with IT teams, business stakeholders, and leadership.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify, address, and resolve complex data issues, ensuring alignment between business needs and technical solutions.
- Champion data-driven decision-making, fostering a culture of accountability and data excellence.
- Provide training and support to internal teams on MDM best practices, governance frameworks, and data management tools.
Continuous Improvement & Innovation
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging automation, AI/ML, and advanced analytics to enhance data processes.
- Evaluate and implement best-in-class MDM tools and technologies to optimize performance, scalability, and usability.
- Stay up to date on industry trends, regulatory requirements, and emerging MDM best practices, ensuring ImageFIRST remains at the forefront of data management.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Data Management, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in Master Data Management, Data Governance, or Data Engineering roles.
- Proven track record of leading enterprise MDM initiatives and implementing scalable data management solutions.
- Hands-on experience with SQL, Python, ETL development, and data integration tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend, SSIS, Oracle Fusion).
- Strong expertise in data governance, data security, data quality management, validation, cleansing, audits, and standardization methodologies.
- Experience working with ERP systems (e.g., Oracle Fusion, SAP) and integrating master data across supply chain, finance, and operations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex data discrepancies.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with enterprise MDM platforms (e.g., Informatica MDM, SAP MDM, IBM InfoSphere).
- Knowledge of data privacy regulations (GDPR, HIPAA, CCPA) and security best practices.
- Certifications in Data Management or Data Governance (CDMP, CIMP).
- Familiarity with advanced analytics, AI/ML, and automation tools for data management.
- Project management experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Proficiency in data analytics and visualization tools such as Power BI, Looker, or similar platforms.
