As a Managed IT Sales Consultant, you will be responsible for providing consulting and sales services to current and prospective clients. If you love technology sales, this is an opportunity for you to help customers with a comprehensive suite of services including helpdesk, server management, 24/7 network monitoring, backup, cloud computing, vCIO services, and cybersecurity.
Responsibilities
- Attends initial and ongoing training on company products, business and sales techniques.
- Compiles lists of prospective customers/clients and proactively develops new customer relationships.
- Travels throughout assigned territory to call on existing and prospective customers to solicit current or future opportunities.
- Manages current customer clientele providing monthly/quarterly reviews, best practices recommendations, areas for improvement, status reports, service reports and leasing/service contract data.
- Evaluates customers’ business scenarios, qualifies customers’ needs and develops solutions.
- Works closely with clients during all phases of the sales cycle.
- Maintains all data regarding sales calls, forecasts business and customer files in the company provided CRM.
- Develops and implements strategic sales plans to accommodate personal and corporate goals.
- Quotes prices and credit terms, prepares sales contracts for orders obtained and coordinates all follow-up.
- Prepares reports of business transactions and expense reimbursements.
- Maintains valid driver’s license and state minimum auto insurance.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- IT experience is highly preferred.
- Managed Services experience also highly preferred.
- Committed to personal professional growth and development required.
- Self-motivated, proactive and confident with a strong desire to succeed.
- Ability to work independently with little supervision.
- Must be polished, personable, highly organized and punctual with strong work ethic and emphasis on attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills and presentation skills.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field preferred
- Information technology, software and associated business application certifications preferred
- B2B Sales/Business Development experience required
- Information technology or related IT/Phone Systems or software Sales experience preferred
- Experience calling small business owners & executive level decision makers highly preferred
- Fundamental understanding of consultative, solutions sales process
- Ability to develop a conversational aptitude regarding general network technology preferred
