Meteorologist

WICZ-TV – Fox 40 News is looking for a weekend meteorologist to anchor our 10 PM weathercasts in Binghamton, NY. Position Description

• Who does the position report to? News Director
• What are the key responsibilities of the role? Anchor the 10 PM weather and record weather updates to tease upcoming newscasts.

Job Duties:

• Prepare weather graphics using our state-of-the-art Baron weather computer system
• Work closely with our experienced chief meteorologist during major weather events
• Monitor for breaking weather, weather watches, and weather warnings
• Anchor our 10 PM weather live on air or to tape
• Follow station newsroom guidelines and communicate with the news director and chief meteorologist during breaking weather events

• Knowledge of weather graphics systems, Baron systems a plus!
• Smooth delivery ad-lib on air, and on all platforms
