Region Accounting Support Position-SRQ, FL-NOT REMOTE-BS in Accounting REQUIRED

Region Accounting Support person is responsible for supporting school-based business managers and principals, providing finance and accounting support for Imagine schools in the West Florida region. Includes preparation of preliminary annual budget, download of monthly trend reports from accounting system for each school, communication and review of monthly expenses with each school's business manager and principal, preparation of monthly budget versus actual financial reports with explanation of any over- or under- budget line items, presentation of monthly budget versus actual financial statements to the governing board. Also responsible for oversight and facilitation of annual audit for each school.

Required Qualifications:

· Education: Bachelors degree in accounting.

· Experience: 2 to 3 years experience in related fields

Preferred Qualifications:

· Knowledge, Ability & Skills: Excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills. The ability to perform independently and in groups. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and multitask when necessary. Knowledge of theory and practice of generally accepted accounting practices. Knowledge of applicable federal and state regulations and statutes. Ability to remain pleasant and calm under sometimes-stressful circumstances. Ability to communicate cooperatively and constructively with Corporate Finance Personnel, Executive Vice President, Region Director, Principals and Business Managers in a multi-cultural environment. Skills required include word processing, database, spreadsheet and graphics.
