Nature & Scope: Positional Overview
Imagine Staffing is recruiting for a Payroll Analyst to join our client in Downtown Buffalo providing support to the payroll process across several entities, as well as assisting in payroll audits and special projects.
Role & Responsibility: Tasks That Will Lead To Your Success
- Assist Manager in perform the payroll process and payroll transactions for 1 biweekly and 3 supplemental runs timely and accurately or 8 entities covering 12,000 employees in NY and PA.
- Assist with month, quarter and year-end balancing
- Provide support to payroll teams at affiliate locations with system training, payroll transaction processing and resolving issues.
- Assist Manager in oversight of payroll transactions such as direct deposits, manual checks, file transfers, wage payment files, funding, payroll taxes, etc.
- Run and maintain accurate payroll reports and analysis, providing insights and resolution to trends and issues identified.
- Assist Payroll Specialists in attending to employee payroll issues and attending to system issues as needed
- Assist manger in payroll audits, payroll related projects and ongoing system upgrades and implementations that the team is involved in.
- Assist manager in creating SOPs that support department processes.
Skills & Experience: Qualifications That Will Help You Thrive
- Bachelor’s degree in related business field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in payroll end-to-end processing in a medium to large complex organization
- Experience with processing collectively bargained payroll
- Strong technical skills including proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other related tools
- Familiarity with Kronos/UKG timekeeping and Infor HCM systems is a plus;
- Basic knowledge of payroll laws, regulations and compliance requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment and be flexible and agile to switch gears quickly.
Salary : $75,000 - $92,000
