Summary
The Floor Coordinator at Imagineering Finishing Technologies Is a front line production and beginning management position has the functional responsibility to ensure all company policies and procedures and schedules are being followed. They will ensure bottlenecks and roadblocks are removed so our production staff can produce. The coordination of the department's effort to provide consistent, efficient quality results, and customer satisfaction.
Duties/Responsibilities
Intermediate, Although some requirements of the job can be considered routine, many aspects require good judgment, decision-making skills and supervisory skills.
Job Complexity
Assignments are moderately complex in nature, primarily due to our changing customer demands, and "job shop" processes.
Supervision
Normally receives no instructions on routine work, and general instructions on new assignments.
Continuing Education
The individual is required to complete at least 24 hours of job related training per year. This may be accomplished through Internal Training Systems, University-level courses, seminars, continuing education courses, or as approved by the Executive Management Committee. They should stay current with industry technology through trade publications, and attending trade shows/seminars approved by Imagineering.
Travel
Local and overnight travel may be required occasionally.

The wage range for this role reflects the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Imagineering Finishing Technologies, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $65,000-$75,000 per year.

Duties/Responsibilities
- Provides department support by performing process tasks as necessary to facilitate total service to internal and external customers.
- Ensure that daily check list is completed and turned in to plant manager each day.
- Communicate to the dock to ensure the appropriate product is being moved in and out of the department in a timely manner.
- Lead daily stand up meetings
- Audit all department time sheets to ensure breaks and lunches are being taken and if not approved in advance.
- Under the direction of the Plant Manager or Assistant Plant Manager monitors schedules to meet customer requirements, and to maintain smooth and efficient work flow.
- Works with Production Scheduling to coordinate due dates when customer required lead time is less than our standard lead time.
- Work to provide continuous improvement of various techniques performed within the duties of the department to improve productivity, efficiency, and the cost-effectiveness of the process.
- Works with the production staff to ensure the proper workflow of jobs, appropriate job sign-offs and maintenance of any records generated from these tasks.
- Assist with 5S and Lean Manufacturing initiatives
- Effectively works and communicates with cross-functional departments including but not limited to EHS, Maintenance, Sales, and Quality
- Working and communicating effectively with the Plant Manager or Assistant Plant Manager regarding equipment and maintenance needs and to provide a neat, clean, and organized production environment
- Assisting the Technical Sales departing by providing input on quotes if needed, technical advice and support, on-site visits to customers, and through participation in other sales-related functions
- Move 10-35 lbs. on a repetitive basis without assistance
- Remain stationary on a continual basis for duration of shift
- All other duties as assigned
- Assists with employee training
- Assists with the daily workflow of the assigned department(s).
- Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.
- Ensure team is following all company policies, procedures, and IFT's standards.
- Providing guidance, training, equipment, and/or other resources to production staff, to assist them in performance of daily job duties
- Mentoring team members to recognize and remove bottlenecks by re-allocating people and equipment as necessary to meet corporate objectives.
- Manages by facts and objective evidence
- Creating goals for individual team members to ensure IFT is maximizing their potential.
- Assists Plant Manager or Assistant Plant Manager with discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
