Description: Floor Specialists are responsible for cleaning and maintaining the flooring in our buildings to meet customer standards. The Floor Technician will use approved methods to strip/wax, scrub/wax, carpet cleaning/extraction, window cleaning and any other duties necessary given to them by the area manager. This could include filling in as cleaning technicians when needed.
Responsibilities
Drive company vehicle with all flooring equipment
Identify flooring types & use correct method to clean
Window cleaning (interior & exterior)
Carpet Extraction/ Cleaning
Clean floors and stairways by sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming as needed
Strip/Wax floors or Scrub/Wax floors depending on need
Spot clean and extract carpets
Sanitize, scrub, strip, and finish floors
Monthly vehicle inspections & Maintenance on vehicle *paid by company*
Keep janitor closet neat, clean, and organized
Follow manufacturer’s specifications for preparing chemicals and using equipment
Assure building doors and windows are secure and locked
Report to supervisor needed repairs, safety hazards, or conditions requiring additional service
Follow all company policies and procedures
Perform other duties as assigned by Area Supervisor or Area Manager
