ABOUT THE POSITION

The Account Executive works with clients in the development of marketing strategies and supervises plan execution managed by your agency team. You are your client’s consultant, collaborator, and champion. You ensure the agency is delivering innovation and thought leadership that will drive your client’s business success. You make sure all work the agency delivers supports and meets the strategic objective. You oversee all activities of your assigned account – nothing leaves the agency without your assurance that the work is outstanding and will exceed client expectations. You oversee a team of Client Leads, Associates, and Coordinators and ensure that they are successful in delivering results for every client.

ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Effectively applies marketing and communications principles to business challenges.
  • Understands the essential dynamics, strategies, and drivers of their client’s business.
  • May manage multiple client businesses and a team internally to support those clients.
  • Shapes and drives activity on their account, recognizing and advancing big ideas.
  • Leads the development and presentation of marketing communications plans (strategy, target, media, messaging, measurement, etc.).
  • Reports on trends affecting the client businesses, including economic, industry, competitive and cultural factors.
  • Analyzes client’s business performance and marketing campaign results and delivers implications and recommendations to client.
  • Authors persuasive client recommendations and points of view
  • Partnering with Creative and Production team, oversees the messaging and development process – ensuring the work meets agency standards and is on-brief, on-brand, and on time.
  • Manages client expectations and ensures work delivered meets and exceeds them.
  • Leads project input and review meetings, providing insight that inspires great work.
  • Leads the presentation and sale of agency ideas and recommendations to client.
  • Coordinates delivery of marketing activities with partner agencies (if applicable)
  • Ensures the agency operates on a solid foundation by building strong working relationships with senior- and mid-level leadership and clients.
  • Is constantly attuned to the evolving needs of the client.
  • Builds and manages the client’s business through recommending, fostering, creating, and delivering strategically grounded initiatives.
  • Build and maintains trusted, respected relationships with leaders of internal agency departments and partner agencies.
  • Works with client to monitor agency performance and implement changes needed to ensure continual client satisfaction.
  • Manages scope of work and monitors profitability to foster the financial health of accounts.
  • Monitors labor utilization against scope and makes resource allocation recommendations.
  • Contributes to account growth by identifying opportunities to increase revenue.
Preferred Education, Experience, and Qualifications
  • At minimum, bachelor’s degree in marketing/advertising or related field and 2-3 years of relevant marketing experience.
  • Restaurant account experience is a BIG plus.
  • Experience working with clients and creative teams in development of TV campaigns, In-store POP materials, and social campaigns.
  • Established track record of delivering impactful marketing programs either within an agency or in-house client environment.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with internal and external partners.
  • Ability to manage deadlines in a shifting environment with competing priorities.
  • Extreme attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Working knowledge of marketing principles across the following disciplines:
    • Marketing strategy development
    • Consumer research and insights
    • Messaging development and production across digital and traditional initiatives
    • Paid media across both traditional and digital
  • Ability to lead the development of multi-channel marketing plans.
  • Ability to assess ideas and directions for fit with marketing objectives and strategies.
  • Able to write effective strategy documents and client presentations.
  • Previous Media strategy/planning experience preferred
