What are the responsibilities and job description for the Buyer position at iMBranded?
The Buyer is responsible for sourcing and choosing products for their respective area of responsibility. Their duties include researching the market, analyzing sales data and building relationships with suppliers. The Buyer will manage the timely execution of demand based on the product categories they are assigned. In this role you will collaborate with the team members inside the organization and with suppliers to develop opportunities that will improve product cost, product availability, internal customer service and enhance the overall product offering, to help maintain our supply inventory levels and negotiate deals with potential vendors. The Buyer will be responsible for learning company purchasing policies and procedures, our operating systems, and maintaining supply inventory levels required for effective company operation. The successful candidate will also be charged with conducting regular price comparisons to ensure that the company is always getting the best price for each product that is purchased. This position will report to our Purchasing Director
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (include, but are not limited to)
· Research, select and purchase qulaity products and materials.
· Update inventory and ensure that stock levels are kept at appropriate levels.
· Submit, review and acknowledge purchase orders as required.
· Create purchase orders for inventory and non-inventory purchase requirements.
· Considers appropriate data to issue product purchase orders within specified buy cycles, or as needed, to meet fulfillment objectives.
· Maintain strong internal working relationships with our Purchasing Director and Operational / Accounting team;
· Maintain strong working relationships with our vendors; and negotiate with them for best pricing.
· Review purchasing agreements with vendors and maintain open lines of communications with those vendors;
· Develop an active process for tracking inventory levels and lead times, and determining purchasing needs based on Project Management forecasts;
· Stay up to date with industry trends and establish long-term purchasing arrangements with vendors when it is beneficial to the company
· Compare product deliveries with issued purchase orders and contact vendors when there are discrepancies;
· Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written;
· Extremely detail oriented

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
· College degree in business administration or supply chain management, or equivalent work experience.
· Minimum 2 years’ experience as a buyer is essential. 3 years experience is preferred.
· Excellent communication and negotiation skills
· Highly capable PC use skills
· Proven history of effective supply management
· Able to create and administer a task priority list based on company needs
