What are the responsibilities and job description for the Risk Assistant position at IMC Construction?
The Risk Associate plays a vital role within the Risk Department, handling responsibilities related to IMC’s prequalification processes, reviewing insurance documentation, and overseeing enrollments into the Contractor Controlled Insurance Program (CCIP). The Risk Associate will collaborate closely with the Risk Department, project teams, and brokers to ensure all processes are managed effectively and efficiently. This position requires strong coordination and attention to detail to maintain seamless operations across the department and associated teams.
Handle prequalification requests, submissions, and reviews, ensuring secure and confidential processing.
Obtain rate pages from subcontractors for submission to the broker for review and insurance credit calculation.
Collaborate with the broker and subcontractors to finalize insurance credits.
Create project-specific CCIP manuals to ensure they meet program requirements.
o Set up a Panel of Physicians for all CCIP projects.
o Organize site packages, hard hat stickers, and project folders.
Assist the enrollment of subcontractors at all tiers into the CCIP program, ensuring all required documentation is collected.
Obtain COI and wrap verifications for excluded subcontractors.
Follow up monthly with subcontractors on payroll and COIs.
Issue weekly enrollment reports to internal teams and produce weekly reports, such as commitment reports, for upper management.
Maintain and update all tracking logs.
College degree or 3-5 years administrative assistant experience.
Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. Experience with project management related software, i.e. Procore is a plus.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, positive attitude as well as the ability to work with others in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment with strong attention to detail.
Ability to receive and maintain confidential and sensitive information.
Ability to multitask and complete assignments within deadlines that may have short lead times.
Basic insurance knowledge around Workers Comp and General Liability a plus but not required
