Role Overview:
Responsible for overseeing general accounting operations, preparing and analyzing financial reports, ensuring compliance with GAAP, and supporting audits and internal controls.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Set up customer/vendor accounts and verify ACH information.
- Perform accounts receivable/payable aging analysis, journal entries, bank reconciliations, and month-end close activities.
- Support external audits by gathering documentation and providing necessary account information.
- Assist with credit card reconciliations, tax filings and payments, fixed asset tracking, and other compliance tasks.
- Maintain and improve accounting procedures, systems, and internal controls.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; or any combination of education and experience may be substituted for a degree.
- 5 years of accounting experience, preferably within the construction industry.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Proficient in accounting software and ERP systems; prior experience with Spectrum accounting software preferred.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial analysis and modeling.
Capabilities:
- Extensive knowledge of general financial accounting and job cost accounting.
- Understanding of and ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles.
- Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and time management.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Working Conditions:
- Standard office environment with little exposure to the elements.
- Extended use of computer, keyboard and monitors.
- Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time.

- This position is 100% onsite and requires the employee to be physically present at our office in Middleburg, FL during regular business hours.
