IMC Logistics is looking for an aggressive and motivated individual to join our Kansas City dispatch and operations team. The ideal candidate would be from the Kansas City area, posses knowledge of intermodal operations in the region with dispatch and trucking experience, but we are prepared to train the right individual. Salary is negotiable based off of experience.
Responsibilities
- Schedule and dispatch drivers to appropriate locations according to predetermined schedules, customer requests and immediate needs.
- Serve as a reliable point of contact to balance drivers' health and safety with customer requirements.
- Coordinating and managing the most efficient loads to remain cost-effective as a company.
- Collaborate with other departments to maintain good communication flow across the organization.
- Addressing problems and requests by transmitting information or providing solutions.
- Prioritize calls according to urgency and importance.
- Use computer to send drivers to appropriate locations.
