TheTechnical Account Manager has a dynamic and challenging role and plays animportant part in IMCD’s objective to grow earnings for our strategicprincipals.

The Technical Account Manager, Inside Sales will havea dynamic and challenging role performing inside sales. This role will play an important part inIMCD’s objective to grow the company’s earnings for our strategic principals.The role will be reporting directly to the Regional Sales Manager, Inside Salesfor IMCD US organization.

The TAM role is both strategic andhands-on and is critical to our IMCD US organization. This individual isaccountable for executing sales functions in line with our Principal andCustomer focused strategy, providing outstanding service, and driving businessgrowth. The relevant qualifications for this role are outlined below.

Successful candidates will be responsibleto :

Maintain relationships with existing, core, and target customers at the required level to ensure the continuance of sales growth and customer satisfaction.

Identify targets for each strategic principal.

Respond promptly to all leads and write call reports (within 48 hours).

Engage in technical discussions with customers, outside sales, and internal staff.

Identify future revenue opportunities with new / existing customers, in conjunction with Regional Sales Manager.

Open line of communication with assigned accounts on a regular basis.

Participate fully in technical training sessions.

Identify and document decision makers, within customer / prospect organization, in order to start the sales process.

Maintain and expand the database for designated territory.

Grows earnings per designated sales goals.

Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel and MS PowerPoint, in particular); experience with Salesforce a plus.

Working knowledge of standard office equipment.

Required Qualifications :

Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business discipline

A minimum of two years of sales experience.

DesiredQualifications

Experience selling chemical or technical products.

Experience with distribution sales.

For Food and Nutrition candidates : background in food science / food industry.

Competencies : Business Acumen.

Problem Solving / Analysis.

Customer / Client Focus.

Communication Proficiency.

Teamwork Orientation.

SupervisoryResponsibility :

Thisposition has no supervisory responsibilities.

WorkEnvironment

This jobcurrently operates on a hybrid schedule rotating between office and remote workenvironments. This role routinely uses standard office equipment.

PositionType / Expected Hours of Work

This is afull-time position, and the hours of work and days are Monday through Fridayfrom 8 . to 5 ., unless otherwise directed. Additional hours may berequired as needed.

Travel

Limitedtravel is expected for this position, a minimum of 10%.
