About the Position  

Seeking ambitious, hard-working, experienced gate security personnel to join our project team in Oxbow, OR.  The gate security personnel will provide protection of the work sites, personnel, and assets from events such as trespassing, unauthorized entry, and other disruptive incidents. Performing site and access control is a core function of this position. Must be willing to work other miscellaneous duties as directed by supervisor. This person must be willing to carry out company policies and values while thriving in a team setting. 

Project Overview:  IMCO is performing improvements on the Oxbow dam spillway. This is a very large site located in a remote region.

Compensation and Benefits

• Wage - $22 – overtime available
• Housing packages available, but not guaranteed 
• Medical, vision, and dental insurance coverage available on the first day of the month following 60 days of full-time employment.  
• 401(k) plan available for eligible employees on the first of the month following 60 days of full-time employment. IMCO offers 100% contribution matching up to 4% of the employee’s eligible wages.  

Responsibilities

• Responds to incidents, calls for assistance, or requests
• Observe, recall, and distinguish characteristics of persons, suspects, vehicles, locations, or property
• Observes suspicious persons, assesses intentions, and takes action as appropriate
• Effectively and coherently initiates communication or responds using a two-way radio or telephone
• Utilize clear communication skills when communicating with people
• Comprehend, evaluate, and correctly respond to information received
• Gather information for investigations by interviewing and obtaining verbal or written statements of all participants and witnesses
• Read, comprehend, and employ policies and procedures
• Exercise sound judgment in determining appropriate action to be taken during changing situations.
• Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and situational awareness in a safe manner
• Willingness to perform other duties, as required
• Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective local, state, or company security operations for the protection of people and property.

Location & commitments 

• Project Location – Oxbow, OR
• Project Duration – 12 Months
• 8–10-hour shifts
• Overtime may be available
• Evening/weekend work may be necessary to meet milestones

Requirements and Qualifications 

• Current and valid driver’s license
• Ability to work in adverse weather conditions
• Security requirement: Must be able to speak and write English clearly and accurately
• Basic construction equipment terminology preferred
• Pre-employment drug testing required
• Criminal background check required
• Adhere to all safety requirements
• Commitment to teamwork, safe work practices, and integrity
