Title: ServiceNow Software Developer
Duration: 9 months on W2(No benefits)
Location: Chicago, IL(Hybrid)
POSITION SUMMARY
Serve as a part of an IT Service Management (ITSM) team in a highly regulated environment. Work with the team to comprehend requirements and develop solutions based on system capabilities, industry best practices, and the preferred outcome. Work in a small agile team, using ServiceNow to deliver and maintain technology solutions that improve operational efficiency with a focus on process improvement and automation.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Configure, customize, integrate and support solutions on the ServiceNow platform as it relates to ITSM, ITOM, Service Portal, Workflows, and other functions to meet business needs.
- Perform ServiceNow Discovery and CMDB maintenance
- Create and implement workflows, Business rules, client scripts, UI Policies, UI Actions, Access Control Lists (ACLs), Portal Pages, report setup, and data imports and exports.
- Perform daily administration, troubleshooting, and resolution of any issues arising in the ServiceNow environment.
- Work in and agile methodology and participate in agile ceremonies providing insight and expertise in level of effort, timeline, and status updates
- Excellent communications skills required – verbally and written with all levels of IT and business management
SOFTWARE REQUIREMENTS
- Expertise and experience with ServiceNow and a focus on experience with one or more of the following modules ITSM, ITOM, CSM, SPM is required.
- Expertise with scripting languages such as JavaScript, Python, or PowerShell
- Web service proficiency (REST, SOAP) as well as XML and JSON knowledge
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- 2-5 years’ experience
- 4 year college degree in information technology or equivalent experience
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- Certifications in ServiceNow System Administrator and products such as ITSM, and ITOM are preferred
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABLILTIES, AND BEHAVIORS REQUIRED
- Knowledge of Operating Systems (Linux, Windows)
- Knowledge of networking concepts such as IP Addressing, Firewalls, ports
- Knowledge of relational databases (MySQL, MSSQL, Oracle)
- Knowledge of cloud technologies
- Knowledge of monitoring tools
- Knowledge of Agile methodology and software development lifecycle
- ITIL knowledge with the ability to relate concepts to implementation strategies
- Creates an inclusive working environment where change can be embraced by all backgrounds
- Ability to communicate technical topics to a non-technical audience
- Giving and receiving effective feedback across all interactions
- Comprehensive understanding of Change Management controls
