IMEG is growing, and we’d love to have you join our team! We are currently seeking a Field Technician in either our Nashua, NH or Burlington, MA offices. As a Field Technician you will be responsible for performing routine tasks as directed by the Construction Manager. As a second level with trainee experience work is checked by others in process and upon completion. The Construction Manager may assign the technician to a construction project to serve as a construction observer to make field measurements, documentation entries and read & interpret plans.
Principal Responsibilities:
  • Intermediate to advanced field inspection, testing, and documentation;
  • Perform independently or interdependently on site and laboratory testing of soils, concrete or hot mix asphalt;
  • Attend training to achieve various certifications;
  • Understand operations and identify potential problems;
  • Operate company vehicles;
  • Maintain equipment and vehicles;
  • Observe safety and security procedures.
Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Ability to work well in a team environment;
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
  • Ability to write simple correspondence;
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization;
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals;
  • Ability to read a tape measure in both fractions and tenths;
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form;
  • Must always maintain professional conduct;
  • Valid driver’s license required with ability to be insured by IMEG carrier;
  • Advanced/Proficient in Microsoft and MS Office Suite including but not limited to Word, Excel, and Outlook;
  • Ability to travel with occasional overnight stays.
Education and experience:
  • Associates degree, or certificate, in Building Information Modeling (BIM), or Engineering preferred;
  • 1 years of experience minimum required, 2 preferred, in the building design consulting or construction industry preferred;
  • This position is not eligible for sponsorship.
Salary Range $53,000- $79,000. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay will be based on several factors including experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant. Other rewards may include annual bonuses and stock ownership options. In addition, IMEG Corp. provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO).
