Job Description: We are currently seeking a seasoned Manager or Director with a background in fashion and artist IP. The ideal candidate will have proven success in securing high-end collaborations and developing relationships with premium brands in the apparel and accessories category as well as culturally relevant brands of the moment.
Responsibilities:
- A 360 role in a dynamic team, with involvement in the development of licensing strategies, creative direction, licensing sales presentations and sales/business development for key established and new clients.
- Acting effectively as client’s brand manager, an extension of their team and managing the viability of product design and development with them for existing and new licensees.
- Responsible for driving new business development with a focus on securing high-end collaborations with premium brands, driving innovative product partnerships.
- Targeting specific categories/retail tiers for business development, to be agreed and converted into KPIs/ objectives.
- Responsible for attaining and where possible exceeding agreed annual sales targets for licensing sales on annual MGs and total MGs of new deals and/or royalties.
- Development of product and overseeing process from inception to in-store date
- Ensure licensees are meeting contractual obligations and deliverables.
- Track, monitor, and analyze royalty reports to ensure compliance and profitability.
- Assisting the SVP Licensing, with new marketing, sales, and business initiatives.
- Ensuring all stages of deal negotiation, contracting, contract and financial management are entered recorded within IMG’s bespoke licensing management systems.
- Research product markets, industries, categories, and trends to stay competitive and identify new opportunities.
- Background in fashion and working with artist IP
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in licensing, client management, or brand building, with a strong emphasis on the fashion and artist IP sectors.
- Strong background in brand strategy, licensing negotiations, retail planning, sales, and consulting.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, licensees, and high-level executives.
- Experience with royalty reporting, forecasting, and managing contractual obligations.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Professional demeanor and the ability to interact with senior executives in Fortune 500 companies.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret market trends and data.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of initiative and problem-solving ability.
- Activating retail and marketing initiatives for client brands and with licensees, example -product and lifestyle photo shoots, development of marketing materials.
- You may also be required to carry out any other duties which are within the scope and purpose of the job
- Highly organized, detailed, and adaptable. Ability to manage workload and switch between brands and licensees is essential.
- Knowledge of licensing strategies in the retail and fashion industry.
