The Health and Safety Coordinator, Summer 2025 position will be responsible for supporting and assisting in the Academy’s Health and Safety program. This includes assisting in the implementation of IMG Academy safety plans, policies and crisis management. The coordinator will also support daily summer safety initiatives including, but not limited to, weather safety, tram safety, heat and hydration safety efforts, and camper supervision.
Position Responsibilities
Summer Camp
Support Health and Safety Manager with the implementation of summer camp safety and Health efforts
Work under the direct supervision of the Assistant Health and Safety Manager
Ensure summer camp operations adherence with all Health and Safety protocols and procedures
Perform tasks related to the Weather Safety, including camper supervision and transport
Perform tasks related to Transportation Safety on campus. Specifically supervising campers on Trams and at Tram Stops
Perform tasks related to Heat and Hydration Safety, to include monitoring camper conditions and conducting preventative efforts
Perform camper supervision at Campus Center and other locations as needed
Perform other related duties as directed that correspond to the overall function of this position
This position may be considered essential staff and may need to reside on campus for several days for extreme weather emergencies.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Currently enrolled in academic program in allied health, safety or related field
PC Skills in MS Office
Desire to work collaboratively with colleagues
Physical Demands and Work Environment
Must be available to be onsite during all emergency events and drills
Ability to move easily over a 5-mile campus, both indoors and outdoors on a regular basis
Ability to lift, move, push and pull 40 pounds on a regular and consistent basis
Position requires walking most of the working day
Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill cleaning and inspection tasks
Must be able to climb stairs on a continuous basis
Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity
Requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment
Should be able to handle outdoor summer temperatures for extended periods of time
Must be able to move around campus which includes gym, turf, fields, etc.
Ability to work flexible hours to include nights, weekends and holidays if required
