Painter

Primary Accountability:

The Painter will read and interpret work orders and blueprints to paint and assemble projects in a safe, quality, and efficient manner. This position requires someone that is detail oriented with at least basic experience in industrial painting operations and have the learning ability to increase those skills.



Key Responsibilities

• Read and interpret work orders and blueprints to determine paint and work requirements.
• Clean parts with chemical or mechanical tools
• Utilize airless paint sprayers in a safe and efficient manner, and in accordance with IMI standards, to paint custom parts
• Use common hand tools to assemble painted parts into complete assemblies.
• Prepare, set up, and clean equipment and supplies required to perform work assignments.
• Self-inspect quality of work to ensure it meets IMI and customer expectations.
• Attend company training programs and follow procedures as outlined in training.
• Follow established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• Establish and maintain positive working relationships with employees and department managers.

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1-2 years of painting experience preferred.
• Leadership experience is preferred.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret part drawings.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measurement.
• Ability to complete work in a fast-paced, team-oriented work environment.
  
  

Physical Demands:

• Physically mobile with reasonable accommodations.
• Frequently lifts and/or moves up to fifty (50) pounds
• Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk and hear.
• Use hands to handle, install, position, move and manipulate materials.
  
  
  
  

Work Environment:

• Frequent exposure to extreme cold and heat
• Exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, and vibration.
• Moderate to high noise level
• Interaction with team members in a respectful manner
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, overtime, and weekends as required.
