SUMMARY:
Immaculata University Division of Nursing is seeking applications for a Certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) Track Director in the Master of Science in Nursing Program (MSN). The FNP Track Director is responsible for development, implementation and evaluation of the FNP program. The individual will provide continuous quality oversight of the educational component of the FNP track of the MSN degree. The FNP Track Director work closely with the MSN Program Director and Chair of the Division of Nursing to ensure the FNP program is in alignment with the American Association of College of Nursing (AACN), Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), the National Organization of Nurse Practitioner Faculties (NONPF) as well as all regulatory standards and guidelines. Other responsibilities include teaching, student admission and advising, and participation in departmental, university, and professional activities. This is a full-time 12-month tenure track position.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide oversight for the educational component of the FNP Track.
- Manage the admission and progression of students in the FNP Track.
- Collaborate with clinical agencies in arranging FNP student clinical placements to ensure providing optimum educational experiences to meet the requirements of the FNP curriculum and to meet state and national regulations. Visit sites as appropriate.
- Participate in the ongoing development, implementation, evaluation, and enhancement of the FNP Program to reflect CCNE, AACN, NONPF, and SBON standards, current evidence and best practices.
- Prepare the assigned reports required for accreditation as well as federal, state, and local agencies.
- Teach across the nursing programs as assigned by the Division of Nursing Chair.
- Participate in committees as well as Division and campus events.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Division Chair and Dean.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A Doctoral degree in Nursing or Doctoral degree in a related field with a minimum of a Master's degree in Nursing
- A current unencumbered Registered Nurse license in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
- A current unencumbered license to practice as Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP) in Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
- Current national certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner.
- A minimum of five (5) years of nursing experience as a nurse practitioner in Family Practice.
- A record of professional and clinical experience, teaching, research, and curriculum development.
- Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal and networking skills.
