Overview

Immanuel Baptist Church is actively searching for a Youth Pastor. We are in the heart of downtown Monticello, KY. We are a growing congregation with a quickly expanding youth and children’s ministry. We are an independent Baptist Church. Our Church ministries include a strong missions program supporting twenty-three missionaries and five missions; A Christian School, Immanuel Christian Academy; est. 1997; a Baptist Camp; Mountain View Baptist Camp, est. 1971; and a youth prison ministry. We are looking for someone who can lead teams, delegate, coordinate events, and disciple youth. We want to see an entire generation in Wayne County changed for the glory of God. We are looking for a servant and missional leader who wants to be a part of fertile, growing, and life changing ministry.

Job Description:

We have a large number of volunteers who serve the IBC Kids, IBC Youth and the school. The Youth and Children’s pastor will oversee these volunteers, focus on logistics, help with media/PR for youth related events, teach, lead small groups, and be expected to preach when needed.

This position requires someone who is experienced and works well with others, someone who is a dynamic teacher and has gifts in organization. We are a Great Commission church, and missions are woven in our fabric. We are looking for someone who is missional minded and will teach this next generation to have a heart for the world.

Compensation:

Compensation will be determined by several factors such as experience, degree, and skill set.

Qualifications:

- Graduate degree preferred. Undergrad degree required (field must be that of Christian ministries, theology, childhood development, or related field).

-Must have some experience in ministry

Responsibilities will include:

-This position with be under the leadership and guidance of the Senior Pastor the deacons of IBC, and the M.V.B.C board of directors.

-Maintain a regular presence at Immanuel Christian Academy.

-Establish, encourage, and grow Youth-led worship.

-Emphasize missions and develop a love for missions by exposing youth to the need of reaching unreached people groups.

-Delegate, encourage, and provide guidance to youth/children’s ministry teams and volunteers.

-Connect with youth and children’s families while providing wholistic ministries throughout the week.

- A willingness to help other staff members within the church.

-Promote IBC Kids and youth programs throughout the community.

-Work with student leadership and volunteers to instruct, teach, and disciple children.

-Plan, delegate, and assist events such as: VBS, Youth Rallies, Summer Camps, mission trips, and overnight trips.

-Create an atmosphere of excitement and plan fun activities and trips that will attract other youth.

-Oversee curriculums and plan out teaching series

- Involved with Mountain View Baptist Camp, help plan coordinate church reservations during the summer.
