Position Summary:

Primary Responsibilities Include:
Carry out the vision of living life With Jesus, In Community, and On Mission through Southland Groups and Care Ministry at the Nicholasville Campus
Primary Responsibilities Include:
- Shepherd Southland Groups and Care Group Leaders
- Recruit, evaluate, interview, and train all new group leaders
- Develop new and existing leaders through an effective leadership culture
- Ensure groups use content and facilitate discussions consistent with Southland’s beliefs and values
- Work with Nicholasville Local Outreach Leader to ensure Groups are engaging “on mission” and serving our community
- Offer ongoing support, connection, care, appreciation, and wise/Godly counsel to group leaders
- Help guide those seeking community to a group suitable for their needs
Care Ministry
- Provide care during Southland services by recruiting and leading a team to pray with people and respond to prayer texts
- Facilitate baptisms by processing baptism requests throughout the week, receiving guests desiring to be baptized during services, and following up after baptism
- Oversee care for the Nicholasville campus during office hours, and after hours as needed, including maintaining a daily on-call schedule of staff to receive calls or walk-ins
- Meet with people seeking help by listening well and referring them to professional counseling when necessary
- Perform weddings and funerals as assigned
- Make hospital visits as requested while also equipping volunteers to serve in this capacity
- Execute the Vision and Mission of the Nicholasville Campus and Southland Christian Church
- Serve at Nicholasville Campus events (e.g., Starting Point, Worship Night, etc.)
- Serve and support, as needed, Southland events and outreach initiatives (e.g,. Meal Pack, Easter, Fall Kickoff, Christmas Joy, Christmas services, etc.)
- Build and maintain strong relationships with the Nicholasville Campus Team Lead and all Nicholasville Campus Ministry Leads
- Attend meetings as needed
- Initiate consistent communication
- Continually encourage the Nicholasville team to prioritize living In Community at the Nicholasville Campus
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor

The schedule for this position is Sunday - Thursday.
