Immedia provides audiovisual and communications technology for commercial applications. We design, build, and support conferencing, learning, entertainment, and marketing technologies for enterprise clients. Fundamentally, we take the burden of networked audiovisual tech off the shoulders of IT.

Design a functioning Audio / Visual system per a project template from Sales Team.Complex Conference and training rooms.Complex Audio Designs including stadiums, auditoriums and sound masking.Understand video and audio-conferencing systems including, but not limited to, LifeSize, Polycom, Tandberg, and Microsoft Lync (and other USB / PC based conferencing solutions.)Conceptualize and sketch designs prior to handing off to Sales Team.Be flexible and creative when designing A / V systems to match customer needs andbudget.
Apply standards in place into all designs, and work with inventory team to keep costslow.
Assist Sales Team with the overall sales process to ensure Sales Team is successful.Assist Sales Team with pre-design jobsite walks when required.Enter design-related time into Salesforce.com.Other duties as necessary.Competencies
Detail-oriented.Be a team player. The sales process is highly dependent on well-functioning engineeringand Sales Teams, and we must consider ourselves one team.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situationswhere only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions given in written, oral or schedule form.Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in written form.Fluent in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, OneNote), comfortablewith frequent internet searches and research.
Comfortable talking to and meeting with manufacturer reps for pricing and product updates.Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Mechanical Engineering or relevant technical degreeCAD experienceMinimum 5 years' work experience as a Design EngineerInfoComm CTS CertificationInfoComm AV Design through Level 3 a plus. If not in possession of these certifications, must be willing to go through them within 90 days of employmentD Tools experience is a plusProficient in Solidworks is a plusStrong organizational and communication skillsSupervisory responsibilities : None
Work environment : In office 8-5; minimum of 40 hours per week
Physical demands : Sitting for up to 3-4 hours at a time
Travel required : Minimal, as needed
