Immerse Education’s two-week residential programs provide an immersive experience of advanced study and university life at top-ranked institutions, including the universities of Boston. Participants engage in a rigorous academic curriculum alongside a dynamic mix of social and cultural activities.
We are looking for Tutors to teach small groups of students, ages 15-18, in their specific subject area. As a Tutor, you'll not only be an expert in fields such as Business Management, Engineering, Medicine and Software Development & AI , but you'll also have a passion for sharing your knowledge in a fun and engaging way.
You will need to plan and deliver lessons that meet the program's learning objectives while creating a memorable experience for your students. Tutors will teach 30 hours over two weeks, Monday through Friday. This includes two-hour sessions in the morning and an additional two-hour session in the afternoon.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Design and deliver a two-week course in your subject, ensuring lessons are engaging, challenging, and interactive for 3-4 hours each day, Monday through Friday
- Provide a course overview before the program starts, including any necessary resources.
- Create a personal project outline for each student to work on during lesson time and provide 1:1 support to ensure the project is completed successfully.
Requirements:
- Formal experience tutoring and/or supervising undergraduate students.
- Experience of small group learning and discussion-style instruction.
- Ability to teach a broad range of topics within the subject area.
- Current Masters or graduate Masters candidate at the host University, or equivalent.
