Position Purpose:
Plans and administers policies and procedures relating to all general phases of human resources activity by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors. May be asked to perform many HR Manager duties in the absence of the actual HR Manager.
Education and Experience:
Team members Degree in Human Resource or related field, along with 3-5 years of practical experience.
Language Skills:
Fluent English reading/writing skills are required, Spanish language skills desired.
Essential functions:
include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
· Identify legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance.
· Ability to recruit, interview, test, and select team members to fill vacant positions. Also coordinate and work with staffing agencies to recruit qualified hourly team members.
· Ability to plan and conduct new team member orientation to foster positive attitude toward company goals. Ability to answer detailed benefit questions, as well as Company background, policies, procedures, etc…
· Capable of keeping records of personnel transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, filing personnel records and terminations.
· Able to handle highly confidential and personal team member information.
· Can accurately and in a timely manner respond to inquiries regarding policies, and procedures.
· Administers and keep track of benefit programs such as life, health, dental and disability insurances, pension plans, vacation, sick leave, leave of absence, and team member assistance.
· Is capable of investigating accidents and preparing reports for insurance carriers.
· Prepares team member separation notices and related documentation, and conducts exit interviews in absence of Human Resources Manager to determine reasons behind separation.
