- The position involves providing consultations on the immigration court process for asylum seekers that have been either referred to court and / or were paroled into the U.S. in order to :
- Explain the steps to apply for asylum at the immigration court.
- Provide referrals to pro bono legal services and private attorneys, and answer other asylum-related questions brought up by the client.
- Provide community legal presentations (usually on Zoom) on issues pertaining to the court process and new asylum policy updates.
