This person will be building out the function and will serve as a critical member of our People and Culture team. The Senior Human Resources Specialist, Operations and HRIS will partner with team members across the organization on an array of activities such as enhancing employee data management and reporting, optimizing our existing HRIS, and supporting HR initiatives that align with our business goals.

The Senior Human Resources Specialist, Operations and HRIS will partner with team members across the organization on an array of activities such as enhancing employee data management and reporting, optimizing our existing HRIS, and supporting HR initiatives that align with our business goals.
Responsibilities
- Data Management: Responsible for all employee records and documentation, including inputting employee information into our HRIS.
- System Management: Overseeing the administration, maintenance, and enhancement of our HRIS to ensure efficient processing and accurate reporting of employee data. Work closely with IT, finance, and other departments to ensure seamless integration of HRIS with other systems and enhance data flow across the organization.
- Payroll: Input all relevant payroll and benefit data into HRIS and maintain all supporting documentation. Partner closely with the finance team to ensure accurate payroll processing.
- Reporting and Compliance: Design and produce custom reports and dashboards to meet the needs of HR and other stakeholders. Generate and submit reports to government entities, regulatory agencies, and external stakeholders to ensure compliance. Assist with activities to ensure organization is in compliance with all applicable regulations, labor laws, and standards.
- User Support: Serve as the primary point of contact for HRIS users, providing support, training, and troubleshooting as needed.
- General HR Operations: Assist with benefits and HR operations activities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of HRIS Analyst or HR Operations experience is required. Biotechnology or Pharmaceutical industry experience is preferred.
- Strong experience with HR information management and reporting.
- Working knowledge of HR processes and practices.
- Proficiency in HRIS platforms (Paylocity, Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, or similar systems).
- Extensive attention to detail. Experience creating processes to prevent erroneous data in systems.
- Experience assisting with payroll activities.
- Basic knowledge of benefits administration, including medical, dental, vision, 401k.
- Familiarity with labor laws, data privacy regulations, and compliance requirements relevant to the biotech sector.
- Strong organizational skills and proven ability to effectively prioritize work assignments to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to train and support users at all levels.
- Strong curiosity for learning and development.
