Aqua Park Lifeguard/Park Associate
Position Reports to: Pro Shop Manager
Job Purpose: Lifeguards/Park Associate will be responsible for Aqua Park participants safety and experience during their visit to ensure all participants and guests have a safe, fun and enjoyable time at the Imondi Wake Zone facility.
Timeline: Applications will be taken throughout March and April. Interviews will be scheduled upon receipt of eligible employee application. Employment will begin in mid May and run though early September. This is a seasonal position. Employment is dependent on necessity and subject to termination at any time.
What is Imondi Wake Zone?
Imondi Wake Zone is Colorado's Premiere Water Sports Adventure Park located in Fruita, CO. We provide a fun, safe and exciting place for families to learn and progress their water sports skills. We strive to promote a positive environment. At Imondi Wake Zone we Motivate, Inspire and Challenge water sports enthusiasts, from beginner to Pro. Imondi Wake Zone offers Cable Wakeboarding, Kneeboarding, Stand-Up Paddle boarding, floating Aqua Park, concessions and more!
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise guests and ensure they are following all park rules.
- Continuous Aqua Park safety briefings to participants and guests.
- Daily Aqua Park inspections, maintenance, and cleaning.
- Assist with party set-up and clean-up.
- Keep park areas clean.
- Janitorial duties as assigned by manager.
- Grounds Maintenance and Landscape tasks, as needed.
- Equip guests with proper size life vest prior to Aqua Park Session.
- Learn and understand Imondi Wake Zone Emergency Action Plan (EAP).
- Be present and give best efforts with a positive attitude at all Lifeguard Skills Review and Challenges as called for by Head Lifeguard.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, jump, and move around for long periods of time.
- Ability to swim and be in water for extended periods of time.
- Ability to watch participants and communicate well with customers.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. or less.
- Ability to spend long periods of time in the sun with little or no shade.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Outstanding customer service skills
- Self-motivated and disciplined
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Lifeguard Certification Required (If you are not currently lifeguard certified, we will be hosting an American Red Cross Lifeguard Training mid May for chosen applicants)
