Our client, a respected and growing manufacturing company, is looking to bring on an Accounts Payable Specialist to support their busy finance department. This is a direct-hire role with a stable Monday-Friday schedule and the flexibility of one remote day per week after the training period.

Responsibilities:
- Process and review vendor invoices to ensure accuracy, coding, and proper approvals.
- Reconcile accounts payable transactions and resolve any discrepancies promptly.
- Monitor payment schedules and prepare timely payments to vendors.
- Maintain accurate financial records and support month-end closing activities.
- Verify and process employee expense reports in line with company policy.
- Communicate effectively with internal departments and external vendors regarding payment status or issues.
- Maintain organized electronic and paper files for all AP documentation.
- Support the finance team with ad hoc reporting and projects as needed.
Required
- 2 years of experience in Accounts Payable
- Solid understanding of basic accounting and finance principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs).
Preferred:
- Associate degree in Accounting or related field.
- Experience working in a manufacturing or supply chain environment.
- Exposure to modern accounting and ERP software.
