Sandblast Operator - High-End Firearm Manufacturing in Ellabell, GA

Our client, a leading manufacturer of precision-engineered firearms, is seeking a Sandblast Operator to join their production team. This role is essential in ensuring high-quality finishes on firearm components, contributing to the craftsmanship and durability that define the brand. If you have a keen eye for detail, experience in industrial sandblasting, and a passion for precision work, this is a great opportunity to be part of an elite manufacturing team.
Responsibilities:
- Operate sandblasting equipment to prepare metal firearm components for finishing.
- Ensure consistent surface texture and quality per manufacturing specifications.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of blasting equipment.
- Inspect parts before and after blasting to maintain high-quality standards.
- Follow safety protocols and wear proper protective equipment.
- Work efficiently within production deadlines while maintaining precision.
- Collaborate with the finishing and quality control teams to meet production goals.
Qualifications:
- Experience in sandblasting, abrasive blasting, or similar industrial surface preparation.
- Knowledge of different media types (aluminum oxide, glass beads, etc.) and their applications.
- Ability to handle and maneuver firearm components with care and precision.
- Strong attention to detail and quality control.
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with PPE requirements.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience with metal finishing and or Autobody Repairs
- Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and best practices in sandblasting.
- Mechanical aptitude and experience maintaining blasting equipment.
