Job Title: Human Resources Coordinator
Location: Sarasota, FL
- Onsite position Monday-Friday 8a-430p
- 6 Month Contract to Hire position that has the potential to go Hybrid after training/trust is established.
- Hourly Pay rate $25-26/hr
Position Summary: Our client, a non-profit organization is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Human Resources Associate to join the HR team. This position will be responsible for supporting various HR functions, with a focus on ADP onboarding, recruitment, conducting new employee orientation, and performing essential clerical tasks for the HR department. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, proactive, and capable of handling confidential information with discretion.
The HR Coordinator will provide support in all basic and functional areas to the Human Resources Department including recruitment initiatives and coordination of special administrative projects under the supervision of the Senior Director of Human Resources.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides administrative support for the Human Resources Department, including but not limited to digital recordkeeping, HR auditing, tracking, responding to employees’ inquiries and requests, compiling, and generating reports, and handling correspondence.
- Source candidates by using databases such as really, Zip Recruiter and social media sites. (really, LinkedIn etc. as needed)
- Collaborates with department managers to identify and draft detailed and accurate job descriptions and hiring criteria.
- Identifies and implements efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards, and the needs of the organization.
- Schedules interviews; oversees preparation of interview questions and other hiring and selection materials.
- Assists with the interview process, attending and conducting interviews with managers, and directors.
- Collaborates with the hiring manager during the offer process, identifying, and recommending salary ranges, incentives, start dates, and other pertinent details.
- Ensure that all new hire paperwork is complete and processed correctly including i.e., I-9’s and identification, W-4’s, background check records and drug screening test, among others.
- Performs New Employee Orientation for new employees.
- Assist with maintaining the ADP HR database data entry and maintenance.
- Generate staffing reports as required.
- Assist with the distribution of internal HR communications (e.g., job postings, weekly newsletter, memos etc.)
- Assist with planning and execution of special events, such as benefit open enrollment, affiliate wide training and employee recognition events.
- Order Name Badges and Business Cards for new hires and as needed for staff.
- Purge and storage personnel files.
- Responsible for maintaining and upholding the confidentiality of all Human Resource Department records and information.
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
SKILLS & ABILITIES
- AA Degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
- Experience working in ADP Recruitment and Onboarding is preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Bi-lingual a plus.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with good negotiation tactics.
- Ability to create and implement sourcing strategies for recruitment for a variety of roles.
- Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment.
- Equipment/Machine use: Exceptional computer skills required, including the ability to multitask and navigate multiple programs and computer windows.
