Our client, a global plastics manufacturing company here in the Grand Rapids area, is actively looking for a Process Technicians on all shifts!
Will receive 1.5x pay for overtime.
5k sign-on bonus!
Responsibilities :
- Apply scientific / decoupled molding techniques to set up and troubleshoot processes.
- Set up and program all in-house robots.
- Document new and changing setup procedures.
- Provide leadership and direction to lower-level employees to achieve OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) metrics.
- Track mold repair requests and coordinate with the tool department for preventative maintenance and repairs.
- Perform mold, material, and process sampling requirements.
- Suggest mold modifications to improve processes.
- Conduct continuous improvement tasks related to productivity, downtime, scrap, and visual aids.
- Implement cycle time improvements.
- Plan mold change and color change events in coordination with the shift manager.
- Direct the Tech Support Group to achieve acceptable OEE metrics.
- Troubleshoot high-level process issues.
- Oversee mold changes and support lower-level technicians during mold changeovers.
- Execute lower-level engineering projects.
- Assist directly with robotics and automation events.
- Participate in training and skill set evaluations.
