Job Description
Senior Property Claims Adjuster Onsite in Sarasota, FL Residential P&C. Daily Claims Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Property Claims Adjuster to handle complex residential and commercial property claims with a high degree of independence. This role involves investigating, evaluating, negotiating, and resolving property claims while ensuring compliance with policy provisions and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent customer service abilities, and the capacity to manage claims with unique coverage and exposure considerations. There may also be opportunities to deploy to catastrophe (CAT) sites to assist policyholders during disaster events. Key Responsibilities :
- Investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and resolve property claims of moderate to high complexity.
- Assess losses, determine coverage applicability, and establish accurate claim reserves.
- Analyze policy conditions, exclusions, and endorsements to ensure proper claim handling.
- Communicate professionally with policyholders, agents, and other stakeholders throughout the claims process.
- Determine settlement amounts based on independent judgment, estimates, appraisals, and policy limits.
- Negotiate and finalize claim settlements within assigned authority.
- Utilize cost containment tools to manage damage exposures effectively.
- Maintain a well-documented claim file with timely and accurate diary entries.
- Provide excellent customer service by guiding insureds through the claims process.
- Serve as a mentor and trainer for less experienced adjusters.
- Participate in special projects and contribute to process improvements.
- Deploy to CAT sites as needed to provide on-the-ground claims support.
