We are seeking a dedicated individual with a Peer Recovery Background to join our recovery-focused team. The ideal candidate will have a strong working knowledge of the drug and alcohol treatment system and a genuine commitment to the recovery community. Judicial Knowledge: Working with those in recovery that might have need and support in this area. Knowledge of navigating different resource systems is a must.
- For individuals working with recovery programs, candidates must meet the qualifications for a Certified Peer Recovery Specialist(CPRS). You do not need an existing CPRS license; in-house training is available.
- Community Health Workers must possess a working knowledge of the drug and alcohol treatment system and demonstrate a commitment to the recovery community. This individual will promote self-determination, personal responsibility, and empowerment to those they are serving.
- The CHW will conduct personal interviews with individuals, conduct screenings and will create and implement action plans with each individual assigned to their case load.
- The CHW will provide in-depth assessment and care coordination follow-up with the individuals they are serving until their needs are resolved or their defined engagement period ends.
- Other duties as assigned

Preferred Requirements:
- Strong interpersonal skills; ability to communicate effectively and build rapport.
- Familiarity with community resources (food banks, housing, medical support etc)
- The capacity to navigate complex situations, identify solutions, and connect individuals with appropriate community resources.
- Familiarity with available social services, healthcare providers, and other support systems within the community.
Skills:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic computer skills.
