Elementary Teaching & Learning Coordinator
Reports directly to the School Principal
Bachelor’s degree in education-related field required; Master’s degree is preferred.
Full-time (1.0 FTE; Average 40 Hours/Week for 12-Months)
Summary of Position
The Elementary Teaching & Learning Coordinator is responsible for leading and managing the development, implementation, and evaluation of the instructional programs at the first through fifth grade levels under the direction of the School Principal. This role involves guiding and supporting teachers in delivering high-quality instruction, and ensuring alignment with spiritual formation and a Christ Centered classroom while fostering a culture of continuous improvement to help students reach their full potential.

Qualifications:
- Have a deep commitment to Jesus Christ based on personal experience with Him
- Minimum of five years of successful teaching experience.
- Strong knowledge of instructional strategies, assessment tools, current and best practices in the assigned areas, including curriculum, instruction and assessment.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively
- Communicate effectively, proactively, and respectfully with teachers, staff, administration and families
- Holds onto the school’s mission and core values while having a calling to ministry in the through education.
- Ability to coach and lead professional development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Vision:
- Develop and implement strategic plans for curriculum and instructional practices in collaboration with school goals.
- Lead professional development initiatives to enhance teaching practices and student learning.
- Collaborate with school leadership to set academic priorities and instructional goals.
- Curriculum and Instruction:
- Provide leadership and guidance for curriculum maps within Curriculum Track. Monitor teacher participation in keeping maps up-to-date and compliance with accreditation standards. This includes coordinating and communicating processes and expectations. Provide training when needed.
- Ensure alignment of instructional materials and strategies with curriculum standards and assessments.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of instructional programs and modify strategies as needed to meet diverse learning needs.
- Teacher Support and Development:
- Provide guidance, mentorship, and resources to teachers to improve classroom instruction and student engagement.
- Organize and lead regular professional development sessions for staff on best practices in pedagogy and instructional technology.
- Foster collaboration among teachers to share effective strategies and resources.
- Ensure ACSI Accreditation needs are being met within all programs of the school and ensure a sound program for spiritual and academic professional development.
- Assessment and Data Analysis:
- Oversee the implementation of assessments to monitor student progress and inform instructional decisions.
- Analyze student performance data to identify trends, strengths, and areas for improvement.
- Work with teachers and school leadership to develop interventions for students who are struggling.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with school leadership to ensure that instructional strategies are aligned with the school’s overall goals.
- Participate in school committees as necessary to contribute to decision-making processes.
- Compliance and Accreditation:
- Ensure that teaching and learning practices comply with educational standards, laws, and regulations.
- Support school accreditation processes by ensuring the school meets necessary academic
- Coordinate substitute teachers within the Elementary Department to ensure that all staffing needs are met daily. The willingness to fill-in where needed to fill gaps is expected.
