Job Overview:
Impact CNC, LLC is seeking a highly skilled and strategic Engineering Manager to lead our engineering team in delivering top-tier machining solutions. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader with expertise in precision machining, lean manufacturing, and process optimization—particularly with castings for agricultural, industrial, off-highway, and automotive markets.
As the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for driving innovation, efficiency, and quality, ensuring seamless collaboration across departments while mentoring a high-performing engineering team.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
- Provide technical guidance, training, and career development opportunities.
- Ensure alignment between engineering objectives and overall business strategy.
Project Management
- Oversee engineering projects from quote acceptance to completion, ensuring deadlines and budgets are met.
- Collaborate with production, quality, and sales teams to achieve customer requirements.
- Develop project scopes, resource plans, and schedules to support manufacturing goals.
Process Optimization & Efficiency
- Analyze and enhance manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and product quality.
- Develop and maintain work instructions, tool lists, and process documentation.
- Implement lean manufacturing practices and Six Sigma methodologies to drive operational excellence.
- Evaluate new equipment, tooling, and automation technologies for improved performance.
Product Development & Technical Support
- Work directly with customers to design and implement machining solutions for complex castings.
- Ensure manufacturing processes meet specifications, industry standards, and manufacturability requirements.
- Provide technical support for production challenges and drive corrective actions.
Quality & Compliance
- Collaborate with the quality department to maintain compliance with industry and customer standards.
- Ensure engineering deliverables align with company quality objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee the engineering change management and document control processes.
Strategic Planning & Innovation
- Stay ahead of industry trends, technologies, and market demands to maintain a competitive edge.
- Drive innovation and technology adoption to enhance Impact CNC’s capabilities.
- Contribute to long-term business strategies that integrate engineering advancements.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- 7 years of experience in machining/manufacturing, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (e.g., SolidWorks, Mastercam).
- Strong knowledge of machining castings and materials used in agricultural, industrial, off-highway, and automotive markets.
- Expertise in lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Proven track record in project management and cross-functional collaboration.
- Familiarity with ISO and other industry quality standards.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with robotics and automation in manufacturing.
- Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems.
- Certifications in PMP, Lean Six Sigma, or related disciplines.
- Experience with CMM programming.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $125,650.00 per year
