What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fire Suppression Technician position at Impact Fire Services?
The position of Technician requires providing inspections, maintenance, sales, and servicing for a variety of fire suppression components including fire extinguishers, kitchen hood fire suppression systems, emergency lights and other fire products in a professional and timely manner. The Technician is expected to meet weekly service and productivity goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Optimize time management to complete the maximum number of service calls while maintaining high quality standards.
- Achieve assigned weekly productivity goals.
- Stay up-to-date with applicable fire protection codes and obtain necessary local and/or state licenses.
- Ensure the safety and maintenance of company equipment.
- Maintain a safe working environment in accordance with company safety procedures, including driving policies, personal protective equipment, and lockout/tag-out protocols.
- Comply with company procedures for vehicle maintenance and ensure it remains clean and organized.
- Protect company assets.
- Perform tasks assigned by the manager as needed.
Requirements:
- Prior experience in Kitchen Hood Fire Suppression (desired but not required).
- Knowledge of applicable inspection and servicing codes (desired but not required).
- A valid driver's license and a current good driving record.
- A strong work ethic and professional appearance.
- Excellent customer service skills, effective communication, and sales abilities (highly preferred).
- Ability to learn and comprehend general electrical safety procedures.
