Job Description
Our client is seeking an experienced Associate Attorney to handle a variety of legal matters related to public finance and redevelopment. This role offers a mix of transactional work, client advisory, and municipal engagement. Responsibilities include:
- Advising on redevelopment and development projects, including contract negotiations, project financing, and land use matters.
- Handling legal aspects of affordable housing, municipal governance, and structured financing.
- Assisting in the sale and issuance of municipal securities to fund capital projects.
- Representing state and local government entities, investment banks, and trustee banks.
- Attending client meetings, including some evening sessions.
Qualifications
- At least 5 years of experience as an associate attorney,
- At least 3 of those years specializing in redevelopment and public finance.
- Admitted to practice in New Jersey and well-versed in NJ law.
- Strong knowledge of land use, municipal governance, tax incentives, and structured financing.
- Excellent drafting, analytical, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and collaborate with clients effectively.
