Junior to Mid-Level CMBS Associate Attorney

Our client, a prestigious AmLaw 100 firm, is seeking a Junior to Mid-Level Associate Attorney to join its Commercial Mortgage-Backed Securities (CMBS) practice. This is a unique opportunity for an attorney to develop expertise in commercial real estate finance litigation and related transactions while working alongside a distinguished team of professionals.
Candidate Profile:
- JD from a top-tier law school with a strong academic record.
- Bar Admission in the relevant jurisdiction.
- 2-4 years of substantive experience in commercial real estate finance litigation and related transactions and/or a demonstrated desire to focus on that area of law.
- Bankruptcy litigation experience is preferred.
- Proficiency in handling a wide variety of discovery projects, such as drafting and responding to discovery requests, document productions, protective orders and managing deposition work.
- Experience with motion practice, including research, drafting, and managing filing processes.
- Exceptional research, writing, and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in high-stakes CMBS litigation and related commercial real estate matters.
- Manage and execute discovery-related tasks, including drafting discovery requests, preparing responses, and overseeing document productions.
- Draft and file motions, ranging from simple procedural filings to complex substantive motions.
- Handle deposition preparation and manage deposition-related work.
- Collaborate with a team of skilled attorneys to deliver outstanding client service.
