Key Responsibilities
🔹 Setup & Operation
- Set up and perform program editing on CNC milling machines for various machining operations.
- Make necessary adjustments to offsets and replace worn or broken tooling to maintain part accuracy.
- Work under the general direction of the department supervisor with minimal supervision.
🔹 Quality & Process Control
- Conduct visual inspections and precision measurements using tools like micrometers and calipers.
- Ensure parts meet tight tolerances and specifications, making corrections as needed.
- Maintain proper documentation on work orders and assist with program management.
🔹 Teamwork & Continuous Improvement
- Collaborate in team meetings, sharing insights to optimize processes.
- Train and assist other machinists on setup and machine operation.
- Engage in continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, efficiency, and safety.
- Learn and apply basic computer skills to complete work orders and track production.
Qualifications & Skills
✔ Experience in CNC milling machine setup and operation.
✔ Proficiency in blueprint reading and using precision gauging equipment.
