Overview

Join a thriving food manufacturing company with a growing presence in Montgomery, AL. We are seeking a passionate and experienced Director of Quality Assurance to lead our quality and food safety programs at a state-of-the-art facility. This role is critical to ensuring our products meet the highest standards of safety, compliance, and quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the creation, implementation, and management of comprehensive quality and food safety programs, ensuring compliance with SQF and other regulatory standards.
• Ensure that all products meet federal, state, and local regulations, as well as customer requirements. Stay current on industry best practices and regulatory updates.
• Serve as the main point of contact for external auditors and oversee internal audits to ensure continuous improvement and compliance.
• Utilize data to track performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and drive quality initiatives across the facility.
• Build and mentor a high-performing quality team, providing training and development opportunities to ensure consistent application of best practices.
• Investigate quality issues, implement corrective actions, and establish preventive measures to minimize risk and ensure ongoing compliance.
• Partner with production, supply chain, and R&D teams to ensure quality standards are integrated into all aspects of the operation.
• Champion a culture of continuous improvement, driving initiatives that enhance product quality and operational efficiency.

• BS in Food Science, Quality Management, or a related field is required. Advanced degrees or certifications in quality systems are a plus.
• Minimum of 5-7 years in a leadership role within quality assurance in the food manufacturing industry, with a deep understanding of SQF, HACCP, and regulatory compliance.
• Must have experience from a high-speed bottling / packaging operation ideally from CPG or food environments is required 
• Strong knowledge of quality systems, risk management, and regulatory requirements. Proficiency in data analysis and reporting.
• Demonstrated ability to identify root causes of quality issues and implement effective solutions.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and communicate across all levels of the organization.
• Proven track record of leading and developing teams to achieve quality goals and ensure compliance.

Salary : $110,000 - $175,000
