Job Summary:
Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Operations and Engineering, the Sourcing & Procurement Director will be responsible for designing, implementing and managing the Supply Chain-Procurement department.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of 4 buyers in three different locations.
- Manages contract vendor relationships, including monitoring supplier performance in responsiveness, cost, flexibility, and other relevant factors such as financial condition to ensure ability to fulfill contract requirements.
- Drive direct and indirect cost savings through the deployment of procurement best practices.
- Develop and implement standards and systems for streamlining procurement processes for all purchasing activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field.
- Master's and/or Law degree (preferred).
- 10 years of relevant work experience.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a management/supervisory role (required).
- Experience in building and maintaining strategic relations with suppliers.
