Maintenance Supervisor (Industrial/Mechanical)

Our client is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to join their team in a manufacturing facility the great Bettendorf area. 

Responsibilities:

• Ensure a safe work environment and prevent harm to people or the environment.
• Lead safety talks and job-specific safety checks.
• Manage the team to meet goals for quality, quantity, timeliness, safety, and performance.
• Support team growth by assigning tasks, providing training, coaching, and mentoring.
• Assign and prioritize work fairly, ensuring tasks align with department guidelines.
• Plan and manage crew schedules for planned and unplanned needs, considering absences, equipment, and vacation schedules.
• Lead a skilled and diverse maintenance team that is flexible and customer-focused.
• Work with the team to quickly identify and solve problems to keep production running.
• Use data and problem-solving methods to address major equipment issues.
• Manage equipment efficiently to ensure reliability, reduce costs, and support long-term use.
• Support business goals by improving quality, reducing waste, and applying lean manufacturing practices.
• Recognize and reward great performance, address underperformance, and document actions fairly.
• Build strong relationships to solve problems, influence decisions, and satisfy customers.
• Occasionally handle sensitive situations and motivate others to achieve results.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• At least 3 years of hands-on maintenance experience.
• At least 2 years of supervisory experience managing direct reports.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States (no visa sponsorship available).
• Experience supervising in a manufacturing environment (preferred)
• Familiarity with company policies, HR practices, and labor agreements (preferred)
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles (preferred)
